LOL, actually some people here do that in the winter because with pam the salty mucky snow glides right off your paint. Something to do with the oils in it...

Stoneage_Caddy

well the oils that naturally ooze off a civic and its owner arent enough ...i needed pam to keep up ..

Just don't drive down a dusty gravel road behind someone or your car will look pretty messy with EVERYTHING sticking to it. :histeric:

That Civic is so slick, the lovebugs just glide right off... :yup:

Look at the HP on that thing!!! :suspense:

The Civic in the top picture is the new Si concept I think. It has a black hood, and some pretty beefed up brakes, as well as more power. One of the concept models I saw in a ricer magazine I was reading (wasn't mine, it was a friends, and I was bored during class), had a picture of it, with this funny looking wing on the back.

edit: Perhaps that's the regular Civic, and the concept I read about, was the Si version. Looked pretty neat, but still a Civic.

Yup, be sure to click the pic in that article to make the details bigger. I think it had a spoiler..

You, Mr. Full Size Blazer, are concerned with fuel economy?

Hey, I have it because I need it for utilitary purposes. If I had my choice I'd drive something like a civic or newer volvo but a lack of money kinda prevents that.

Not bad....its looks better than the current one.

It'll continue to sell well me thinks.

Looks like an RSX or an egg to me.

You can count on it being very close mechanically to the RSX, just a little less power, maybe even a little smaller.

My Prelude is so much like the RSX now it's scary. I have a little bit more power, but the RSX goes for about $6,500 less than what I paid in 2000. It's hurting my resale value.

The previous generation Accord was almost exactly the same car as my '90 Legend that cost $10,000 more. The Accord even got a 3.0 v6.

Honda tries their new ideas out on the more exclusive models, then they figure out a way to make and sell them less expensively to a larger market. They'll sell 10 times more Civics than RSX.

I can't help but thinking it looks like a mini-Acura CL.

The front end reminds me of another car but I can't seem to put my finger on it!

Here are some much better pics and a writeup....

http://www.cardesignnews.com/news/2005/050803honda-civic/index.html

"The greatest significance of the new Civic design is the conspicuousness of its dynamic design identity which is unprecedented for an Asian-branded mainstream car competing in Europe's largest car sector, and further underpinned by design details that are apparently more expensive to produce than would be expected. This strength of identity and innovative execution will ensure that the eighth-generation Civic is noticed like no other Civic before."

Hmm. so original, so original that when i saw it i thought it was the new Mitsubishi Eclipse. Talk about a copycat, and a BAD one at that. The car is too much of a big blob - i can't tell the hood from the mid section from the trunk. I'll take a Mazda3 or Cobalt thanks...

I went to Chicago this past weekend and I rented a Chevy impala. The car isnt all that great looking but it got there on 1 tank and 1/2. I was so amazed that a car could get that good of a gas mileage with a 16 gal tank. I first filled up at 400 miles and only filled regular gas 14 gallons.

That means I went 400 miles on 14 gallons of gas. the trip was 730 miles.

Im thinkin about getting me an impala. plenty room, good gas mileage, 87 {reg gas} and I can get a used one for under $9,000.

I wonder what the reliability is like?

ok back to your subject.;

They are supposed to be very good cars from what I read. Good gas mileage for its size, double 5 star safety rating, and good reliability because the long run from 2000-2005 was enough time to supposedly get the bugs out.

What year was the Impala you drove??

I rented from Avis , so Im thinking 2004 or 5.

My wife wants me to rid the Lac. I like the Lac but shes right. The gas prices are high and she looks at the fact that its only got one air bag vs Impala's 2, so If we reck she isnt protected:histeric: . and the seat belt thing. she wants a center rear shoulder belt for the kids (Impala). And the gas prices are going up so 93 is not looking to be what we want. (Impala uses REG).

Im gonna miss that 200hp though unless I get the Impala LS.

And shes short so The lac is a bit of a struggle for her. being that its got a big nose and the Impala has that high position seating thing.

O well! Its not happening today. Just looking at it right now.

Sounds good. although I'm not sure how much gas you will really save with only 2 less cylenders......but I understand the premium, regular issue.

Safety is supposed to be good with the Impala though, and did you notice that the '06 Impala has an almost identical interior to the '06 Deville!!!
