: transmission removal in 94 eldorado???

Wondering if anyone could tell me if the transmission can be removed without dropping entire drivetrain???
Any information would be appreciated.

I notice an unusual not too severe jump when hitting on gas pedal after coasting, like it was taking a second to find the gear or passing gear.

So I figure a transmission job not too far down the road will be required.
Unless there are other suggestions.

thanks

I'll look in the manual and let you know but I don't have it here so it'll be a couple of days.
I'd suggest changing the trans fluid and filter in the meantime.

i read in a few threads something about solenoid A and B, as well as something about a shift sensor.

Are these possibilities, or would you rule them out.
Anyone?
thanks in advance

I looked in the manual and it recommends dropping the cradle. They go through a lot of removals before dropping it which didn't make a lot of sense to me.
Since we just dropped a cradle out I looked at it (it's still together) and I'd say drop the cradle without taking brackets or any unnecessary small parts off, then remove the trans when you got it out.
