Anyone have an experience with vibration on a Coach Builder's Limited convertible conversion??
A month ago I purchased a 2001 Eldorado with 32,000 miles and still under Mfg Warranty (expires In Sept 2005). Car has a notable vibration / shimmy between 40-60 MPH. Oddly the faster it goes the smoother it rides.
I replaced the stock Vogue tires that were badly worn with a set of Goodyear Viva Touring and then replaced them with a set of Michelin Harmony tires. I've had the 2 sets of tires balanced 6 times in the last month by 3 different shops. Twice they were balance on the car. Dealer immediately blames the ride on the convertible conversion and tells me that is as good as it will get and I’ll just have to get use to it.
I understand the car will not ride like a hardtop over potholes and speed bumps, but can't believe that a Cadillac that vibrates at 45 MPH on a smooth road is "acceptable".
Anyone have advice on how to get the dealer/Cadillac to take responsibility for fixing the problem while the car is under warranty??
