Anyone ever repaired their upholstery here? My back seat in the middle at the top, the stiches are coming apart. It drives me crazy. I want to pull it out and repair it myself. Is this possible? What kind of thread do I need? How can I put everything back so it's nice and tight? I tried to repair my armrest once and the staples would not grab. That's why I'm asking. Any advice helps. Thanks...:hmm:

There's a section on the service manual. I think the seat leather comes in as a "cover" that slides on top of the cushion. The complication, is that there is some adhesive applied prior to sliding this cover on.

You may want to call around an upholstery shop and tell them you're shopping around for the best deal... but that you also want to know what kind of glue they use, what kind of thread, etc... then you will decide. You will either get a really good deal, or at least the info you need.

Doesn't hurt to try.

Thanks dude. I'll have to pull it out and look at it after I get this dam alarm nightmare over with.
