A few nights ago I was trying to set my wallet where the cupholders are. I have an 02 regualr lade, anyway when I went to flip open the cover it knocked my wallet loose and it fell down behind the cover. I managed to get my wallet loose but my liscense, debitcard and everything else I need is down in the console somewhere.
Anyone have any diagrams or suggestions on how to get then out. Hoping I dont have to take the whole thing out. :banghead:

This problem has been adressed before in this forums, I recomend doing a search on the topic.....
IMHO the best thing to do is take it to a professional car audio installer so they can take the center console out and you can get your stuff back, better yet is take it to the dealer....

I do believe that on the 02 escalade in the center storage compartment you have a door to access that area. It should be on the front side of the compartment with a tab at the top.

Not sure about the 02's but 04's and 05's dash and center console can be removed easily without any tools.
You just pull the trim around the radio, then the center with the changer and then the one in the middle. They're all fixed with clips.
I have removed the ones in my 05 several times. Now it doesn't take me more than a minute to remove everything.

Double X, I have lost a ton of cds and stuff doing what you did. You can easilt tak it apart and make it snap back together. The part that has the cupholders is not held down all the way. There is a gap, hopefully you dont have fat fingers. Just pull the console that has the cupholders and pull it off. It should just snap in right in place.
