OK where do I start. lol
First the owner wasn't there and for some reason he is the only one that knows how to change it from "Standard 'to "SAE". They called him three times to try to find out how to change it while I waited, never got a hold of him so we did the run in "Standard".
Here comes the big laugh:histeric: so get ready to make fun..
For some reason the Factory tuning was uploaded back on to my PCM as she is still running stock.. I called my friend up and am planning on meeting him tomorrow night after work to do the tuning again. The guys at the Dyno got a kit out of it as they overlayed my last dyno run to this one and they were almost a miror image. :banghead: They said atleast I didnt show up saying that It felt faster or anything after the "tuning" haha
Anyway after wasting the time to go to the dyno, taking her up to the revlimiter, and paying $65.00 bucks for the dyno run I now have in "Standard correction method" 356.5 Max HP and 357.3 Max TQ. So I gained about 3 HP and lost about 4 TQ from my first visit to the Dyno.
I will take a picture of the dyno sheet in a few minutes and post it. Sory to get everyone exited to see my new same numbers for nothing.. lol
I came close to just saying I didn't make it to the dyno to avoid the laughs, but hell, you get caught in one lie and you will be branded a liar forever. I guess I will just take the laughs instead..:histeric:

Bill-05-factory tuned....:banghead:

Not to worry. That kind of stuff happens on a daily basis around here. :o

Did you have a non-standard tune in the PCM? Didn't quite understand the note about the tune.

The Standard comment was saying the Dyno run was done with the Correction method of Standard. A lot of guys like to see SAE dyno numbers and that is all I ment by Standard and SAE.
My tuner is Westers, out of Canada. A good friend of mine is the Westers USA rep and he is the one I hooked up with for the tune.
Same deal as with my Denali I start off with what Lyndon Wester feels is a pretty hot tune but is still safe and then fine tune her from there. The Westers tune made a big difference on the Denali and I hope to see good gains with it on the V.
One really good thing about Westers is once you pay for the tune one time, you get free reburns for life. Doesn't cost me anything to get a reburn when I add mods or just want to go a little hotter. There are a few out there now doing tuning for the V and I am anxious to see how Westers compairs to them.
I am going out in the garage a little later to pull off the Stealth-V cags eliminator as the tuning will get rid of the skip shift. That will tell me very quickly tomorrow night if the tune worked or not, or I could just make sure she pulls up to 6800 instead of the 6500 that she shuts off at now. Or if I had enough room, motor, balls, more motor, room, and some more balls I could bring it up to the new top speed limiter of 512 mph where it is to be set at. lol I guess that is as high as he can put it and that way you never have to ask him to bring it up another 10 mph or anything.. :D
So after everything, here are the pics of my dyno run tonight.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but that's a real good curve considering you've not done any major mods. My stock motor dyno'd at 325hp and that was with the X-pipe cat backs installed.

I will get them converted to SAE after I talk to the owner. If I figure it right SAE would be about 339 to the wheels. Still not bad for just a cat back and drop in K&N panel filter.

05 CTS-V--- Light Platinum
Llumar Clear Bra and Tinted windows, LS6 Emblem, Stealth-V z06 fuel rail covers and Cags Eliminator,
K&N drop in filter, B&B 3" resonator exhaust....more mods coming..

Absolutely not. My baseline was 331rwhp/322.3rwtq. If you can get an extra 8 with a cat-back and filter alone, you are doing well. Some have been happy with no performance increase at all with a cat back as the sound alone is a major plus. I think the headers and tune are where I really picked up the bulk of my extra hp.

Let us know what converted numbers you came up with.
