Hey guys, was just wondering how many of you have replaced your bulbs with bright whites (02, I suppose). I remember doing that for my old 2002 Z28 and it looked really good. Which bulbs do the 2002 escalades use and where's a good place to buy? Thanks.
9006 low beams, 9005 high beams. The best would be switching to real HID's, I have always had good luck with PIAA bulbs, they cost more but usually last a long time

I put in Silver-Stars and I like the look/light output. Much whiter than before.

They are much better than stock. :)

Has anyone tried the 9005 to 9006 conversion on an escalade???
I used to do this with my Acura legend, just shave the two small plastic prongs off, and the Light output seemed to be much better...
Let me know if anyone has done this on the Lade??
I have put 9005's in 9006's locations, if you look around though you can get the same wattages in both 9005's & 9006's, I found the 80 watters the best for low beams, anything higher and you get a lot of added heat into the lenses, and the bulb life is much shorter, and with high beams much over 100 watts the bulbs usually last a very short time. :)

there is a guide in the 02 manual that show u how to replace the low beams bulbs.
Around $70 a set for the low beams and same for highs I believe. I think www.tbyrne.com has them and they are one of the sponsors here. I'd imagine the installation would be painless if it's anything like it was on my F-body.

They are really easy to change. It makes the job easier if you remove the grill. Only one bolt holds it in. Then just pop out the headlights and R&R the bulbs.
