I was wondering what is the best air induction out there for our escalades? I have been looking and the VaraRam King Cobra claims more hp than any other. Does any one have this on their vehicle? Or just tell me what you have and how you like it and how well it works. Thanks in advance.

I have a Volant on my Escalade which I am very happy with, I had many K&N FIPK's on my last 6 Suburban's, they worked well but made a lot of t-body nise at WOT, was not real pleased with their heat sheilds either. I was "suppose" to get a Vararam for "testing" on my Escalade, have not received it yet, I have had Vararam's on my last 2 Z06's and was very pleased with the performance, they gave us the highest hp on the dyno of all the intakes we tested. :)

One of the supporting Vendors, I have purchased many things from them.

Ok thanks guys. I think I will go with the Vararam then. What got me atarted is that I had an 02 EXT pull me about 1 truck length from about 80 mph to 100. The only difference I know of is he has 22s and I have 24s. I just did not figure he would pull me like that. I also may get a programmer. I have not delt with any hand held units only the custom tune I had on my vette. SO any ideas on a good hand held Diablo sport, Superchips,Hypertech. Any of these worth the money?

We palyed around with most of the hand held programmers about 2 years ago, the best performance was the Preditor, of course having your computer reprogrammed is the best performance. You may want to check this out.

I looked at that on their site and the only thing that gets me is sometimes I tow a friends car to the track. I figure that the car and trailer weighs somewhere between 4-5000 lbs. It said no or limited heavy towing. That is the only thing that has me worried.

It probably has to do with the lockup of the torque converter, I have several customers that tow that had their computer reprogrammed, you might want to e-mail Tom and ask him that question

Looking to go with Vararam, can you explain cleaning problem/process? How often? How nasty?

Thanks.
