Hi, I have a problem with my vinyl roof on 1978 fleetwood brougham limo.
Where roof meets rear quarter panel, it has lifted away and curled up. Seems maybe it has shrunk a bit.
Anyone know of any repairs that i might be able to do.
Thanks

Mmmmm.... sounds like you need to have it glued back down. It might be worth just having the top redone all together. I had it done and it cost me $425.

Any experience I've had (limited) with lifting edges, means rust under the edge. You hear any "crunchy" sounds when you press down on the vinyl?

Agreed.
Check for those crunchy sounds.
Had my '78 Deville totally repainted/all body work done last year and where the "vinyl top meets rear quarter panel", on both sides,
was rusted underneath the vinyl and partially rusted on quarter panel.
Body shop workers had to peel up the vinyl in that area about 8 inches to properly remove all rust and repair it.
It was all surface rust and credit to Cadillac for using thick steel back in 1978.
That same rust on current day rides would have eaten totally through for sure.
