I have a 85 Fleetwood Brougham, I just got a remote start installed and when I used it last night, the starter sounded like it wouldn't stop cranking. It just ran for about half a minute turning over and over like someone who turns the key on the ignition and holds it after the car has started. Now, my ignition won't turn over at all, not even a click or anything, all the lights work and all.....someone out there know anything?

Sounds like a defective remote start module. There are a few ways to set a remote starter to start a car. Tachometer hookup which senses the tach reading, voltage sensing which sense the charging system, and single crank with no sensing. The single crank setting has a selectable crank tme, but no where near half a minute. Probably the most it will allow is 2 seconds, and the highest setting is for older, harder to start motors. The modules' shot.
