Shortly after purchasing my escalade. I was using my parking break, as always however this time it felt lighter and was followed by a spark and burning smell. yes not a good thing...
I take it down and tell them about it. They said they had to replace some wiring that's as good as that explanation gets... I then asked them to run a diagnostic and other preventative maintenance etc. ...
The next day or so. Toward the end of my day I got in and the car was dead.... Onstar is of little help when there is no power.
I call AAA and have it towed. They replace the alternator and the battery again with little explanation as to what might have happen. Note 20 thousand miles on the car.
Would a computer diagnostic not catch these types of things?
