I just wanted to show all the members an update to the Caddy. I've been on here for about a year now and I have learned and gathered alot of information from you members. I'm a novice Caddy owner and working my way to earning a Caddy PH.D. I'm also slowly learning about cars, which is why most of my posts have been questions. Well I've purchased the Caddy about a year ago and put about 10,000 miles on it ( a little too much) it has about 116,000 miles on it now. So far I replaced the stock tires (with 22 inch 180 spoke Player Wire Wheels), shocks and springs (which were stock from 85 and very, very, very rusty), radiator, fuel line, water pump, and steering wheel pump. Oh yea, I also had a Viper 2way alarm installed with several additional options.
I'm still looking to get a new condenser, new SilverStars (if they have any for the Caddy), recharge the AC, new leather and wood steering wheel, pipe the seats, and a new paint job. I know that there are some Orthodox Caddy owners who might shun at what I've done to the FWB, but I think I've pimped it out tastefully so far.
Well, I'm looking for feedback (both positive and negative) and hope you like the upgrades done to this car

P.S. probably the most said comment while drivin' slow and flauntin' the whip is "Damn, that Caddy is clean!!!" :worship:

Hi, Nice Ride!

What did you do with the original radio? Did it work? do you still have it?

regards
Nick

What's up Nick, well it had to be cut out in order for the new radio and harness to be installed. I have the radio and the 4 speakers, sitting in my closet, I was thinking about throwing it away, but maybe I should sell it. since I don't need them anymore.

Hey, if you find a steering wheel that works out and looks like a real Caddy wheel (crest and all), let me know. The stock one is okay but it'd be cool to have something a little more luxurious.

i cant wait to see that thing. maybe we can meet up at a cruise in somewhere and get a few more caddy guys to meet there as well.:2thumbs:

It's amazing what a little money can do to a classic Caddy. The rims are super sweet and I bet those speakers bump quite well too. My girlfriend's 1988 Caddy hearse is gonna get the stereo treatment as soon as we figure out how to make the headlight and windshield wipers to work... Long story, see post. :D
