Ok this is the deal... I have 2 companies in AZ that are working on it. Trust me, they are looking into al kinds of alternatives.
I showed them the pics off all the damaged rear ends, the shattered housing & so on.
Corporations/Auto Business have better chances of getting some response & even shorter responses from GM than reg ole joe jones owners.
There are a few mods out there, but you could kiss your warranty bye bye if you go with it.. The first is a complete rear end change, some are like from the pics i seen one piece..
Two of the auto companies agreed with me, that it could be very possible GM did a batch change, different location and/or manufacturer of the housing.
They even went as far to tell me this has happened a few times with other critical items defective had to change manufacturer because of equipment failure and other misc items of that sort, that could have fell in that serious category, and really it could have many different effects...
In some items not fitting flush, wrong specs, cheaper metal, rushed job for time ect ect..
In closing,
I promise you guys i am doing my best on this, i have too, not because mine has failed, it has held up perfectly, but because of doing the math of HP, on my V, versus driveline maximum/rearend diff. If or when i do change mine, I will post all info needed, company name, number, price, local, whatever the means need to get it done.
One more thing, When i do change mine, i sell my old stock diff off my 2005 V to whoever needs one, mine is the lucky one, and would you believe there is a tag on mine that has 4 numbers, those numbers match my month & day of birth.. lol
Ok i know you gonna throw up the BS flag again, jezus... but becareful, you know me a little better now, so before you bite your tongue off, remember i have a very nice digi camera..lol

If you need, want, differential misc items, or anything send me your info, email, name.. ect ect... I'll pass it on to these comapanies here. It could be days, weeks or months before these guys help me out. But i have one thing over there head, some of companies have things new in stock, i told them i need info first, so if they want $$$$$$ cashy from me, they need to make the dash to the phone, help me and alot of fellow V members out that need a fix, looking for a differential fix.
Remember do not start that crap, why would you do this for me, blah blah blah shit... im tired of it..
If these forums are not for this kind of help, then it is time to shut them down, cause bitchin, pointing fingers, calling ppl liars, is not getting you, me and the ones that are desperate anywhere... time to get this crap cleaned up and move on to the next problems, dont forget the 06 is coming, you never know.. bigger motor dont mean diff is bullet proof. No on has confirmed to me that is, it is fixed.
You can ask Stealth V also, I keep my word, even though i did not need those new coil pack covers he has, because i custom made my own, i still bought his after i ask him to make me some or do what he could to get some...
I bought em lastnight... i might modify, put mine with his, to make deeper sidewalls, raised covers to to make maggie stand alone.
