View Full Version : 12 days of dealer BS.. ya its now 12 days at the dealer. I went there yesterday and they said that they are balencing my tires, I asked, what did you do for the last 12 days, they say that there trying to narrow it down. So as of yesterday 12 days no rearend im so pissed. they are extremely clueless. I told them my vibration is at 80 mph, he said, we spun the wheels 70 mph and no vib..:banghead: I say 80, so they spin them at 70..they are either very stupid, or they're playing games. Just got back from dealer. They took my gsd3s and old rims and put all new stuff on it (rims and tires) the vib is all but gone. still clunks though. Im now thinking maybe i should quit while im ahead. I think i can be happy now. I really dont think theres anything they can do about the clunk.
On a good note, TIME FOR NEW RIMS!!!!!! Avus 19 inch w/michlins ps2 on them!! 245 40 19... :lildevil: dannystang 05-07-05, 12:14 PM Congrats, glad to see the problems are going away.
Been there. homer403 05-07-05, 12:24 PM Did they give you new tires? Did you go back to the F1's? the vibration was there since new. I just got the gsd3s. I guess what they did is they got me 2 new rims and 4 brand new run-flats. I wonder what happens to my gsd3s, do the dealer keep them and send them back as warrenty. StealthV 05-07-05, 03:10 PM They are your GSD3s - demand them back immediately before some employee takes them out of the dumpster and puts them on his Mustang.
You can send the GSD3s to me, I'll pay for the shipping. :) SBONES,
Your saga sounds very similar to mine. I brought my car in for a vibration and they changed my oil? :hmm: As I left the dealership that time with a repaired half shaft and windshield I felt the vibration again. I bring it back and they tell me one rim is bent and then on and on and on. I finally got my V back. Both the dealer and the regional service rep' declined to ride in my car to experience the wheel hop.
GM vs. Customer (GM's answers in bold)
WHO WILL WIN?
I wonder if severe and uncontrollable slamming of the rear carrier into the underside of the car causes problems, AKA wheel hop? No, must be abusive driving.
I wonder if bent rims cause vibrations in the driveline? No, must be abusive driving.
I wonder if a differential engineered for duty in a 3,500 lb. car with 320 ft./lbs. of torque or less may prematurely fail? No, must be abusive driving.
I wonder if an inner half shaft break would fatigue the outer half shaft causing it's early failure? No, must be abusive driving.
I wonder if failed bushings cause driveline vibrations and clunking? No, must be abusive driving.
I wonder why the paint is peeling off the radio knobs? OK, you got me there. That's definitely not abusive driving, but we'll check it out just to be sure. :hmm: :helpless:
GM you win. You've helped me make my next purchase decision. Let's see if I can't help you continue your downward trend in customer satisfaction, market share and earnings. Hey wait a minute. You don't think that all three of those are related do you? I mean companies who take care of the customers and grow market share make more money? Does that make sense? No, must be abusive driving. Post of the Day, right there kids.........
In related news, I saw the current issue of I believe Business Week, on the cover was a picture of an '05 GTO, the words related to the article were directed towards the downward spiral of GM. I didn't buy it, but I think I will next time I get out. | |
