My StealthV Maggie fuel rail covers came a couple of days ago. The install looked a little non-trivial due to the routing choices my dealer's mechanic made for tubing/hoses/wiring harnesses, so I waited until I had some free daylight time.

I was right, it was non-trivial. Took about an hour and a half. Had to move the L-fittings for the intercooler tubings, reroute some hoses, vacuum lines, etc. I also removed something that I immediately found out didn't need to be removed; felt like an ass, and no, I'm not going to tell you what I did!

Hardest part was pushing down on the passenger side FRC enough to get the fuel line started by hand (finally had to get a neighbor to help).

But they're purty once they're in.

When I was done, I got in to start her up so I could check for leaks etc. Wouldn't start. Wouldn't even turn over. Shit! Wait... Push clutch in, starts right up. How could something so second nature go totally away when you're thinking too much? Stupid...

Then the noise starts. Sounded like all kinds of things were flying apart. Shit again!! Turned off the engine; the noise continued... Trash truck in the street behind me, picking up barrels. :histeric:

Also installed lasssssstsssssss' door lock set. They're sweet! That boy must've taken metal shop somewhere along the way...

(The Diet Coke is my real drink of choice while working on something I might make a stupid drunk mistake on. The booze picture is in there to keep you from thinking I'm a pansy for drinking Diet Coke while I wrench. :drinker )

Gotta get a web site. Never needed one before, but now I need a place to host photos & videos & stuff. This attachment bit isn't the greatest.

Lawfive - Looks good!

Couple of pointers if you care. You can hide part of the bypass valve vacuum line if you want by going through the hole in the driver's side cover.

Also, Teed the brake booster line and PVC line at the rear of the driver's side on the maggie. That eliminated one of the large hoses going over the passenger side cover. Not sure whether this could cause a potential problem or not - but so far - so good.

I ran my as to plan. I'm not sure if the vacuum booster is going to get full vacuum charge since the pcv is total loss, path of least resistance and all.

The faster I go, the faster I want to stop.:spin::holycrap::fan:

webster.com teed:

tee[transitive verb]teed off

Inflected Form(s): teed; tee·ing
: to place (a ball) on a tee -- often used with up

teed off
Function: adjective
Etymology: probably from tee off (on)
: ANGRY, ANNOYED

So either Wild was angry or he was playing golf with his Maggie. :hmm:

Don't forget the piston return springs....:bighead:
KaleCo has produced the highest quality piston return spring to date! High temperance material coated in a thick rubber sleeve resists engine temperatures up to 2500'f. KaleCo piston return springs FORCE the pistons back into the motor, no longer rely on gravity! This effectively increases your revs, horsepower, and peak torque! You must buy one return spring per piston. Rotary engines require some cutting of rubber sleeve. A Chevy 350 showed 15hp / 15ft-LB gains from this mod!

or the high speed muffler bearings...:bonkers: (http://www.kalecoauto.com/perf.htm)

or my favorite Mirror Image Flipper Film. Did you know that the image you see in your rear view mirrors are reversed! This is a manufacturing flaw that the auto manufacturers have kept secret for years as the recall cost would cost BILLIONS! This film can be cut and placed over any mirror to correct the image. Now you'll be able to read signs in the rear view mirror!

http://www.mufflerbearings.com/I got my performance increases from these without the installation hassles, I just had to apply the decals to my window!

Tee(d) - A plumbing fitting in the shape of a "T" used to connect pipes.
:drinker

Sorry. Clarification.

I used a plastic T to tie the brake booster and PVC lines together, thereby eliminating the need to run an additional ugly line up over the passenger side valve cover.

Denniscars may have a point - however - I've noticed zero degrade in braking performance or pedal feel. My thought is that the two vacuum ports up near the throttle body on the Maggie are directly across from each other seperated only by the volume of Maggie's intake throat (brains out of the gutter, please, that's like StealthV suggesting I was playing golf with Maggie seeking a hole in one :histeric: ). There is no reason that full vacuum would be reduced or improved by either method, at least not that a layman like myself knows of.

I got the idea from here:
