Recently, crashtalking.com surveyed its web community, which consists primarily of collision repairers, plus others affiliated with the repair process. Over a recent four-week period, respondents were asked, "What is your favorite 'reality' TV show?" The options were, "Pimp My Ride," "American Hot Rod," "Overhaulin," "Monster Garage," and "Ride with Funkmaster Flex."

In the end, TLC's "Overhaulin" was the winner with 37% of the votes cast, nearly doubling the number received for the runner-up, MTV's "Pimp My Ride." (http://www.prweb.com/releases/20056/5/prwebxml237004.php)

I'd vote for Overhaulin' - they actually do some really cool things to those cars. Monster Garage would be a close second. I've hated Pimp my Ride since I saw the episode where they put the "river" in the back of the '70's Caddy... destroyed the car for all intents and purposes. As for the others, don't know nothing about them.

Anywho... Overhaulin... far and away the best, followed by Pimp my Ride. I like the way PMR takes the interiors to the extreme. Sometimes its tacky, sometimes its awesome. My personal favorites are the Suburban and the FJ Toyota Land Cruiser and a few others.

Others that come to mind are Unique Whips which is new on the Speed channel, Tuner Transformation on Speed, and Rides.

Overhaulin by far....although I don't watch any of those shows much anymore.

Pimp my ride is so trashy (the quality of the cars) I bet those things fall apart as soon as it leaves the shop...

yeah Overhaulin is awesome. I'd never buy a car made by Boyd after seeing American Hotrod. and Monster Garage is interesting but varry different than the first season. PMR is gay, for a shop that deals with $100,00+ cars they do a shitty job on everyting and totaly lose the cars functionality. the car comes in barely running and smoking and goes out barely running and smoking, pop-riveted body work a body kit rims and tv every where

Not true. They once had a Honda (civic or accord) that came in and they rebuilt the engine. The fact is, that they probably do work on the engine, electrical, etc., but the majority of the viewers of PMR ARE NOT INTERESTED in that. Ricers who watch MTV don't care about seeing mad mike replace the filters or alex fix the radiator. They want to see Mad mike put in an lcd television with an expresso maker next to it:lildevil:. Besides, it is trashy and tacky, but all of those people's cars are from the California area...catch my drift?:sneaky:

Do you remember the PMR episode when they did the VW bus and took a piece of sheetmetal and pop rivited over the rust and slobed bondo all over. tehy call that a repair?. If i was ever unfortunate enough to have my ride pimped I'd sell it on ebay and hope i get more out of it than i paid
