Just put the B&B's on the other day, The flange from the exhaust to the Cats, did not fit flush, I thought with the gasket and tightening the bolts it would pull together. NOT! Burned a section of gasket out and had an exhaust leak that made the V sound like shit!:helpless:

So, I could not get that size gasket from the auto parts store I figure I'll call B&B to send some new ones. In the mean time I have Watkins Glen on Monday and can't drive all the way there with this leak. :rant2:

I tried to sandwich the old burned out gasket with 2 paper gaskets that I cut out of a sheet and coated them with Indian head. :hmm:
In addition I was able to get a better more flush fit with the help of a mini sledge hammer.:bonkers:
It lasted 2 days and now it sounds like shit again.:rant2:
Does any one have any suggestions for some kind of sealer I can use as a temporary fix. It needs to withstand alot of heat, being so close to the Cat's?

Ultra copper high temp silicone should get you by until the new gaskets show up.

Yep, just like Rick said. iIwas noticing the flanges were my B&B mounts to the factory manifolds and the flanges are really bent. Going to take some "bending" and some high temp copper silicone to take care of it.

Thanks Rick, Do you recommend using the Silicone with the new gaskets also?
