Anybody ever been to an Autoshow in Motion - GM sponsored event? They provide closed-circuit tracks for test drives of both GM & non-GM vehicles. There is one in Landover, MD @ FedExField May 12th - 15th 2005. I was sent an invitation and pass in the mail and have already registered. I'm looking forward to it...

when you go over to the area witht he GTO and vettes try to get the guy that has a brittsh accent , he travels to all the locations , and he is scary on what he tells you to do ....like
"ok floor it " ...."why are you hitting the brakes?" "trust me it will stick thru this section" and "aim for that sign"
i dont know how fast redline in second gear is but for a tight technical coarse it was VERY fast ...the guy said he was with the "gto program" ..i asked him if he was aussie , he said no and mentioned a town in england
i wish i had him for the corvette , cant imagine how that car works , the guy i had for it was a candy ass ....
the other cars you get to drive alone tho , we got a Deville DHS all out of shape ...well as much as stabilitrack would allow .....
also guys if mazda holds a "rev it up " near you jump at the chance , you get to beat the ever loving hell out of the cars without fear of getting booted (thereis a limit to what you can do at GM)
me and dad swapped low lap times till i blew the tranny on my mazda 3 ...ended the fun for me ...

Sounds awesome! I've never been but have gotten the invitations before and always wanted to. I think I can get my mother to go (she said she really wants to drive "the new Caddy's") and my dad should to, which should be an experience for someone whose newest car has been a '92 and who has never driven anything but GM cars or the random Ford...
I just gotta figure out what day I want to go, Saturday or Sunday.
