I am an Escalade newbie looking for more power (I traded in my Z06 for my escalade).

I will probaby go SC when it comes off waranty, but don't want to right now.

I ordered a Vararam and I am looking at headers.

I am trying to decide if they full length Dynatech headers are worth the extra $$ and hassle over shortys.

Does anyone have any dyno #'s for the various shorty headers versus the full lenght Dynatech headers.

How is the install on the Dynatech headers?

Any heat issues?

Thanks,

Mike C

Mike, congrats on your Escalade, I had a few Z06's myself. :) Get long tube headers, I have seen "The Other Guys Headers" and the SuperMaxx system (I believe that is what you are talking about) that is the way to go for the best performance.
This link is to a supporting vendor. :)

hcvone,

Why no more Z's?

Just kidding, I loved laying rubber in my Z, but it was time for a change.

I think a blown CTS V is in my future, as I am really getting used to the comfort of the caddy.

I am hoping the LS7 makes its way into the CTS V

I think long tubes are the way to go, but I just could not find any info on the forums.

I have had 11 Vette's, and this is the first time since 1985 I have not had a Vette in the garage :( I have two C6 Z06's on order, kind of a his and her's, but she will not be allowed to drive her's, and I am looking forward to getting my STS-V in the fall too. :)

They are more for emissions, if your going to get your car or truck inspected you would want to use the ones with.
