Hello,

I was wondering if anybody out there could possibly tell me where I might be able to find the speed detection circuit in my 2000 Cadillac Escalade? I am trying to install a Pioneer aftermarket navigation unit and I am supposed to hook a wire up to the speed detection circuit So the navigation unit will know how fast im traveling.

there are many points where you can pick up the VSS (Vehicle Speed Sensor) signal - since i don't know your car exactly, i can't tell you where it would be the best, but here are some points:

- Instrument cluster Pin 14 (dk green wire)
- VCM (vehicle control module; left of engine compt.) Connector 4 Pin 3 (dk green/white) and Pin 4 (dk green)
- cruise control module (left rear of engine compt. on firewall) Pin K (dk green)
and might be the best:
- at the stock radio Connector 2 Pin 16 (dk green/white wire)

will this information work on a 99 also? i am having the same problem
