A few questions..

I have Verizon Wireless..Which Bluetooth phones work with the STS?

Why dosen't the STS have a digital Onstar system. They but all this new gear in it then put and analog system???

Can the track names be displayed on screen from the CD's I put in?

Had a starnge thing happen once when I went to take my girl for a ride the first time. I got in and the main screen did not come on. I could not control the radio or any other device. Once we got to her mother's house and went in, after we got back out everything was fine.

I have the v710 and are experiencing the problems complained of throughout these forums. i.e. radio comes back on when taking incoming calls. I had the same experience with the blackout (not being able to control anything on the screen) and not being able to turn the screen back on. I after i shot of the car and turned it back on the next day everything was fine and it has happened since. I think it has to do with the bluetooth; that was the first time i hooked up a bluetooth phone ( a friend's phone), tried it out then shot off the car while still on the blue tooth phone screen. My friend left with his phone and I was left with a black screen and an inapporable system! We need to come track of these problems as consumers, otherwise cadillac will tell us it's our phone, or we are the problem not them!

This black screen, everything locked out business happened twice when I first got the car and I phoned Cadillac customer care about it. I can tell you exactly how it happened but not why and I can tell you how to avoid it:

Don't turn the car off then immediately restart the car within a minute or so. This is how it happened to me both times. I had forgotten something in my office, run in and run out that quickly. Bottom line, it's keyless right? Leave the car running, take the keys. Don't turn the blasted thing off.

To resolve when it does happen: Park and lock the car. Walk away and leave it alone for a few minutes (5 worked both times for me). Remote start it. Unlock, get in and press the start button. It came on in both instances.

There is a TSB to correct some software issues, bluetooth call issues, etc. This involves updates to the radio software. If you are having preset issues, call quality issues, this may apply. The TSB is 05-08-126-001.

Can someone verify if this problem is only with bluetooth phones...and how long does it last cause if thats the case...I wont use a bluetooth phone.

Black Dragon: Write Cadillac customer care and complain about the analog Onstar so they start a file for you. There is either a class action lawsuit or one pending against Cadillac/GM for this issue according to my dealer. Still waiting to find out any information regarding it. The more complaints they get the more they will understand our unhappiness. You will like your Black on Black. I have the the Black with Cashmere. Used to live in Grand Rapids but now in Georgia. Enjoy.
