Never posted here before, but my father has a 95 or 96 Catera whose headlight housings are completely fogged up (not just condensation but the plastic is messed up and unclear). Just wondering if anyone had any suggestions experience with fixing this problem. He thinks the housings need to be replaced but we dont want to goto the dealer for that, so other sources of replacement parts/used parts would be a great help.

Yellowing and fogged up lens can be restored back to its original state like brand new. There has been some posts here on how to accomplish this. As long as you have the time and patience, it's pretty much straightforward. It involves the use of sand papers and some polishing compound.
