When my STS was new, both outside mirrors dipped down whenever I shifted into reverse. Now, they have stopped doing that. Is this a configure option I made a mistake on, or is something not working?

Playdrv4me 04-28-05, 02:02 AM Its a personalization setting, should be somewhere within those confounding Nav menus :D (If you have NAV), but its definitely a configurable preference. agwondra 04-28-05, 08:50 AM Not a config option. You set it by the setting the mirror selection switch on the arm rest. If you set the switch to the right mirror the right mirror dips in reverse, if you select left the left mirror. As far as I know there is no way to select both. aabaoag 04-28-05, 05:20 PM I don't think it is an option. The controls are on the driver's armrest. If you switch to the left, left mirror goes down on reverse and the same for the right. I don't think you can do both at the same time. eamc 04-28-05, 05:43 PM Thanks very much. This is a good forum - I don't think there is any mention of this minor feature in the manuals. Edwin M. kingroadie 04-28-05, 07:08 PM pg. 2-38 bottom right. first line, second paragraph. Playdrv4me 04-28-05, 09:41 PM Wow I could have sworn this was a personalization feature. It was in the 1998-2004 STS and it is in my truck as well. Oh well, its good that you DONT have to go through the maze of menus to get to it, and in my german cars it was a rocker switch just like the new STS too, so thats good. | |
