Jeez I havent posted in this section in MONTHS...car has been running great except since this week.

Car finally hit 60,000 miles this past week and the check engine light came on..im guessin this is normal so I have to get my lazy ass up and run the diag for codes...

Biggest or most annoying problem though is that every time I turn even the slightest to the left off center steering you here a metal against metal scratching noise....any suggestions....its not the powersteering..im 100% sure, checked into that already

Another thing I notice lately.....when im around 3 gallons....if I "pedal to the metal" it sometimes I get a really scarry delay and it seems as though the whole car looses power...i mean...nothing happens and then a JERK occurs and the car takes off......fuel pump?? my guess is yes...

I would suspect with only 3 gallons in the tankwhen you nail it, the fuel is forced to the rear of the tank (baffles may be shot) and the pump sucks air. Don't let it get that low.

If you've already ruled out the usual suspects (brakes, etc), I'd consider checking the bearings out. On my 90 Deville, each side went out with a noise while turning. It was more of a low sounding noise. Driving straight, there was no noise. I've replaced both. However, I'd be surprised if your bearings were bad after 60K miles. Can you tell where the noise is coming from: front, back, left, or right?
