Hey guys, the mirror on the driver's side of my car is starting to look funny. It's loosing some of the liquid material in it and it looks cheap ... can't let that go unchecked for my baby :)
Anyways, I want to order a replacement part but I need to know what I'm looking for on paper, i.e. do I have a mirror with options, if I do, which one is it? etc. One is for sale on Ebay right now and reads:

DEVILLE 94 Electric; non-heated, L
DEVILLE 95-96 Electric; w/o light sensitive opt DDO; L

How do I know if this is what I'm looking for? Thanks.

Does it look kind of gold-ish? I'm guessing it does, and it's actually the gold stuff leaking out. That means it is the light sensitive mirror. Check the back of the glass for two wires going to it. Those would be for your heating element (which probably still works, alternately, you could turn the rear window defogger on for a bit, then feel your mirror) I thought heated mirrors were standard on Cadillacs since the early 90's, but I could be mistaken.

BE CAREFUL of that liquid leaking out of that auto-dim mirror !!!!!!!!

It WILL EAT the paint off your Cad ! Very corrosive!

A guy over at the GM truck forums auto-dim mirror leaked and ate
the plastic on the mirror and spotted the paint !!!!!!!!!

Are you also seeing double vision in the mirror?.........................geo
