....the '97 SDV finally threw up a code, referencing that stumbling-on-idle issue I'm in - turned out to be the mass airflow sensor which my mechanic feels could just be dirty (piece of carbon on the end of the wire?), so we're going to try and see if that is indeed, the case.

On a related topic and knowing how you feel about tranny flushes, etc., have you ever, (or) do you recommend flushing the jets out? there is a garage up here that advertises flushing the jets out, giving them a good cleaning - theory being that if the jets are dirty then you'll be geting similar problems like I am experiencing now.
