Has the XLR-V been postponed or cancelled?
I read on another site that it had.
I came here to find the truth.

I came here to find the truth. msheri01 04-24-05, 03:38 PM No, it has not. The 2006 cars are not able to be ordered yet. This will not be available right out of the gate, the production is not supposed to start on STS-V and the 2006 vette until the September time frame. Keep in mind that the same plant also has some changes going on with the new Z06, etc. These cars are still a go. If you do not have a place on a waitlist, and are serious about having one, I would recommend you find a spot. The exact startup on the V has not been set yet. As of the April reports, it was still in TBD status. BeelzeBob 04-25-05, 10:58 AM If I'm not mistaken, expect to see the XLR-V in showrooms by January of 2006... BUILDINGCTSAMG 04-25-05, 03:31 PM my prediction XLR-V is going to be a giant disaster BeelzeBob 04-25-05, 04:41 PM Has the XLR-V been postponed or cancelled? I read on another site that it had. Vrocks 04-25-05, 06:58 PM my prediction XLR-V is going to be a giant disaster Only if the price is ridiculous. Playdrv4me 04-26-05, 01:14 AM I would hold back on calling anything a Disaster per-se, however EVEN THOUGH YES YES I KNOW ITS A LOW VOLUME VEHICLE... I think its still going to undercut sales expectations. harryctsv 04-26-05, 07:00 AM I would hold back on calling anything a Disaster per-se, however EVEN THOUGH YES YES I KNOW ITS A LOW VOLUME VEHICLE... Hi there, as an XLR driver I can say if Cadillac is staying with the foot on the floor and bring the XLR V for about 85 K - this car will be a success. But if the will bring it for 100 K or even more, it will be a looser. If the price, what GM-Europe announced for the XLR V with Euro 85.000 is correct, IŽll be the first, or one of the first who drives one in germany. BTW the XLR here in germany is Euro 79.900 Thanks Harry Hans funkcity 04-26-05, 10:58 PM Well maybe my question wasn't so whacko after all?!? You just have to wonder what the break even point is for the success of the XLR-V. So far from what I have read, they are not making their numbers on the standard XLR. Parts from the Vette, and a hotrodded Northstar, a few body mods and it makes you wonder just what it costs the General to build this upscale hi-po XLR. Hmm... I've driven the standard XLR and it is a truly marvelous car. The V must be a real trip to drive! Adam 04-27-05, 02:19 PM i read in a magzine somewhere that the production on these vehicles is supposed to start the week of September 25 and will be in the show room floor in December. or maybe it was on here that i saw that, i dont remember:hmm: . | |
