: Chassis Braces

I am in the market for a front to rear chassis brace. I remember a few companies did them before, but those companies are now belly up...

Anyone know where i may find the brace that connects the rear to the front frame for less chassis flex...

It's a 09-13 CTS-V brace. I sent Dr. Design a question about checking fitment against the 04-07 (Sigma I) chassis.

Hmm I haven't been on their website in some time, can't find it but there was one under the 04-07 ctsv once upon a time.

I'm also interested so look forward to hearing what you find out from D3.

I sent them an email, and will see what they get back with...I am ready for the whole, we hae moved on, that is an 10 yr old model and doesnt interest us any longer...

EPP use to make them, but they are gone. BMR has the antihop, and there use to be a rear cradle from some one who suddenly stopped making them as well.

Found Ultra Racing, but theirs is for a 2007 3.6 CTS. HOPEFULLY the chassis are the same, though the diff are different...

Based on the picture on their website (http://www.ultraracing.my/catalog/index.php?id_category=556&controller=category), despite them listing it as a 2007 model, it appears to actually be for the '08+ cars. For instance, the rear subframe in the picture of their "rear member brace" (http://www.ultraracing.my/catalog/index.php?id_product=3288&controller=product) doesn't match the rear subframe on my car (http://www.submariner.org/thepno95/Pictures/CTS-V%20pics/Suspension%20and%20Chassis/Underside/panorama2%20-%205.jpg).

I had a word with my fabrication foreman, and i am gonna make them in house. I will be using 40mmx20mmx2mm hollow bars, with 25mmx3mm pipe for the connections. Will simulate the Ultra Racing braces, as well as BMR antihop bar and add an extra point in the front.

Will keep you all posted with my progress. Still need to install my dry sump tank and hoses. Then fabricate the new Oval exhaust and finally get to this.

I will be using 10mm-12mm nutserts where i dont have threads on the chassis.

I hope it will give me the rigidity i am looking for.
