: First Post & FRC Question

04-19-05, 10:58 AM
I pick up my new V today in a few short hours. I was like a child on Christmas Eve last night. :bouncy:

I've spent the last few days looking through various posts and have learned some interesting things. I'm thinking about purchasing the Z06 FRCs. Not to sound like an idiot, but these are purely cosmetic, correct? Meaning, aside from bending the oil dipstick tube slightly, these will not adversely affect the car in any way?

I don't think I'm going to get any work done this morning and I may not come back to the office this afternoon...

Thanks in advance for any comments.

Welcome to the V family. The stock cover is cosmetic but it also holds in a lot of heat. Put on the FRC's and enjoy the new look. :welcome:

Thanks for all your thoughts - I went ahead and placed my order. I want it to be more obvious to my non-car-freak friends what is actually going on under the hood.

Can't wait to get them on!

Love mine, everyone takes a double take. Hated the silver trash can lid, but they had to cover up the ugly.

I prefer the C5 black ones on a black car.

:welcome: Welcome aboard, this is a great forum with a bunch of V freaks..I have the StealthV red z06 covers and love them, much better than the big ugly heat holding Cadillac one. After all it is a LS6 so why not show it off..;)
