I heard they lowered and push the engine back on the CTS-V race car, but until these pictures, I didn't realize how much. Take a look how far the driver sits back on the car.

I don't know why you would want to race a car that originally weighs 4000lbs, just for marketing

perhaps this has something to do with it and why it does so well...

“The outstanding performance characteristics of the rear-drive Sigma-based CTS and CTS-V lend perfectly to a race-car application..."

rs6 sedan weighs over 4000lbs and they race those. What about semi trailer trucks? Nascar trucks? Racing itself is a good way for auto manufacturer to advertise their products.

I don't know why you would want to race a car that originally weighs 4000lbs, just for marketingWhy would anyone want to race anything that's not a custom aerodynamic body on a custom chassis with a custom engine and custom gearsets? Why have NASCAR, IRL, CART, BTCC, WRC, NHRA, dirt track, ice track, or anything else that's not Formula 1?

I mean come on?? Formula 1 is the most technologically advanced, most expensive and most followed motorsport in the world!! So why do anything else or follow anything else......ever? What's the point?

BTW, it's 3850lbs stock, weighs much less in racing form, and is the subject of the most ignorant statement of the day, possibly the week and remotely, the month.

Hang on, BJS; I just got back to the forum today. I'm sure I'll come up with something more ignorant soon. :hmm:
