: Improvements for the '07 CTS-V???

Here's a list of things that I think will find their way into the '07 - '08 CTS-V, and most likely the XLR & STS - V's:

- Improved rear cradle and rear diff for '07.
- Improved shifter for LS2 equipped CTS-V's.
- Possibly a 6spd auto being offered in the '07 LS2 CTS-V.
- Ceramic brake rotors, possibly as an option for the XLR-V first, and later for the CTS and STS - V's.
- Electric rear brakes with "hill holding assist", so we wont even care about a foot E-brake.
- LED brake lights for the '07 CTS-V.
- Improved interior materials and funtions ( like better tilt control for the steering wheel ) for the CTS and CTS-V.

What do you guys think we'll see or would like to see in the '07 V's?

3. Forgred Rims
4. 6 Piston Bakes
5. NAV Traffic
6. AWD????

Really missed the HUD I had in the Vette, useful when you have a helmut on while racing your meery way around a track.

1. The 5.725L version of the LS7
2. HUD
3. Bullet-proof IRS driveline
4. Extrude Honed cast iron manifolds (similar to the STS-V)
5. Wider tires and wheels (no more than 5 or 6 spokes)
6. Parking brake where God intended it to be
7. Stronger T-56 internals as used in race applications (input shaft, etc.)
8. HID high beams
9. Diff temperature sensor and corresponding display in the DIC
10. "Sealed" center console storage area
11. Driver adjustable shift light built into the tach
12. No slush-box. Ever.
13. Red leather trim
14. 6000 rpm, side step the clutch, smokey launches (sure, it's a dream)
15. Enough space under the hood to install an intercooled supercharger
16. Deep enough well in the trunk to place a wide aftermarket spare tire
17. LED taillights
18. Adjustable, larger seat bolsters
19. Telescopic steering column
20. AWD (there go those smokey launhes)

With all its quirks (and the biggest one for me is the emergency brake), I love my V. I especially love the looks. I can't imagine that they'll get a redesigned body to look any better. Without an LS7 or something equally wonderful to twist my arm, I think I'll hang onto this car for a long time to come. Considering how few they'll make in 04, 05, and 06 combined, it may become a collector's car.

I'll settle for the LS7 and some closer ratios in the tranny. I usually start in second gear anyway - plenty torque and no skip that way.

CTSV-05-you may have already thought of this but if your kit has some truly novel and advantageous features, one possibility might be to file a patent application (big bucks though) or a provisional patent application (much smaller bucks) on it, and offer it to GM. If your basic solution is applicable to any high-power IRS vehicle this makes it even more valuable. If it only addresses ideosyncracies (sp?) in the V architecture, maybe not so much.....they could just "design out" the ideosyncracies without using your ideas.

It's a big step from "offering it" to actually "licensing it", but with no patent protection GM (or anybody) could read your posts here or on your site and pretty much copy the idea (if not the design) freely.

I am pretty content with my '05, but feel there are a few things that need improving:

(1) Replace the center armrest with the one from the standard CTS. (Did this myself; world of difference.)

(2) Less stark dash/interior. (Added a burlwood kit; nicer.)

(3) If the car has a stickshift, it needs a left-hand-operated parking-brake lever, to aid when stopped on hills.

(4) This car rides as hard as a buckboard, presumably the run-flat tires. I like the r-f feature, so perhaps there's no way around this. However I had a 1999 Corvette with r-fs, and it never played xylophone with my vertebrae the way the CTS-V does on anything but a glass-smooth road.

(5) Fix the windshield wiper design so that you can lift the driver's-side one up past the other one.

Yes! All my passengers remark about the missing grab bar - a common item of standard equipment in most cars,

We'd have a noisier car, but a lot less of the 'common' problems.

-memory steering wheel position (I like it low but when I get out of the car I would like it to automatically raise so my knees donít hit it
-hand operated e-brake
-no automatic tranny
-add radio controls to the steering wheel
-add an oh shit handle (front passenger grab bar)
-make the console so that when my date gets in the car she can see my condom and gun (make this thing closed on the sides!!!)
-adjustable shift light
-wider wheels & tires
-fix the hop

For the geek in me...

-voice activated Nav, phone, radio
-IPOD ready
-traffic link for auto nav reroute
-Rear headrest screens for the DVD
-touch screen Nav to dump all the buttons
-FOB start, unlock, lock

I love the interior now...Don't like the wood stuff for a race car....

I would like to see some kick ass racing pedals on this though....

Fix the parade clunk.
Fix the glass rear-end.
Dump CAGs.

Improve the vague shifter.
Relocate "Reverse" to the left of "1st" or make a better lock-out (ouch)
Use a slightly smaller steering wheel.
Provide option for wood accents on the dash & shift knob.
Get rid of the Hyundai-inspired center-pod in the middle of the dash.
Upgrade the Nav with Traffic Information.
Stop locking me out of the Nav controls when I'm driving.
Fix the hop. :crying:
Provide option for Sirius satellite radio (gotta get Howard)
All wheel drive would be great, although I can't see it here.
Deeper tub for a full size spare or at least make a donut spare with 6-lugs.
Make a real CTS-V owner's manual just for us.
