Changed the air fillter today (Fram filter) but there are no clips on the housing i think they are broken ,would it be a bad idea to glue the upper cover.
Thanks

There are metal clips that easily get out of their grooves and fall off. Try to find them as they could be underneat the housing. If not, gluing the cover on is not a good idea as you need to open it every now and then. You might want to use 2 - 3 screws to secure the top on its place.

Why don't you just get some nylon straps, those things that you can easily tighten. And then put it around the housing to secure it in place. I just am not sure if the nylon straps would stand the temperature inside the engine bay. Or you can look for clamps that uses a screw to tighten. I have seen them in the past, I just am not sure where to get them. You can hood one end on top and then the other end to where the original clips hooks into.
