: Last Chance Wheel Auction

Alright, you guys have listened to my endless drivel about the rims I am selling for 2 weeks. My auction for them ends tonight--around 9:30. Please feel free to go to ebay and bid. All the specifics are stated there. Just for clarification I am selling all 4 rims without ties. You just bid by telling how many of the 4 you want and how much you are willing to spend on each one. Take care and thanks for the interest! The auction number is 7965629003.

Very confusing auction. I think it's gone the distance.

Agreed, $315 per wheel for all four, definitely pretty strong money.

I now see that the way ebay has these auctions set up is too confusing....the basic point is that you are bidding on a number of wheels that you want and the bid price is per wheel....i.e. if you bid 100 and for 4 wheels, your total bid is 400. If I have to re-list then I will just sell all four as a group....

I looked at that auction. I bet whoever bid thinks that they are getting all four for $315 or $350 in the case of the most recent bid. That's how it reads but I suspect estatesatty expects that price per wheel. I see a fight coming up.

I re-read the auction and really do not see why it is soooo confusing. Guess I am too used to legalese. Anyway, the confusion is alleviated real easily...when you actually make the bid, you first have to select the number of rims you want. Why would you think the price for 1 is the same as for 4--that would seem to clue people off. Second, when you confirm your bid for multiple rims, Ebay tells you the total amount for your bid--in the case of 4 at 350, $1400 for example. Either way, thanks for the heads-up....

Agree. Quite confusing.

BTW, recognize the high bidder so far?

I dont know guys... seems pretty clear to me. Scroll down, enter your bid and enter how many wheels you want.

Only thing i dont understand is if the next person bids $360 for 1 wheel... does Law get the other 3? Or he has to buy all 4 at >$360?

Couple Qs:
TPS included?
Center Caps included?
Do you have the new wheels yet? - I've heard they are very limited in supply (long delivery times)
What conditions are the stock wheels in? Meaning have the tires been dismounted yet? - Dealer always scratch up the edges getting the stiff Runflats off.

The wheels are brand new and only have the test miles on them. The dealer has told me my other rims are already at the dealership. Whatever would be on the wheel is included--dunno if that means TPM's or not. As far as the bidding goes, the ebay rules seem to indicate that if there is a higher bidder on 1 rim that the person would get their 1 rim and the lower bidder would be left to get his 3. Dunno how it will end up, but I am just hoping no problems like that arise....

At $350 each, I saw Law will get them. He can pay $1400 plus shipping for a set of stock rims.

I know dealer shipping is cheaper but I checked with UPS. To ship a 36 x 36 x 15 in 25 lb box from Cleveland (I didn't know the zip in MS) to Utah it costs $112 each to ship a wheel.

Add them together and I would have to pay around $460 per wheel which is how much they cost shipped from the factory. That is why I didn't like the initial deal he had here a couple weeks ago.

It is a very confusing auction and I sense a disagreement in the near future. If Law lives near MS, than it is a good deal.

I tried to bid on 1 wheel 3 days ago, and the auction wouldn't take the bid. I emailed ebay to ask how to do it, they emailed me back that they would respond in a couple of days and I haven't heard anything since. Bottom line is, I can't bid.

Just so you know, the shipping figures you have are WAY off. We calculated shipping last week for someone in TX. Shipping from MS to TX was $24 on their account.

36 x 36 x 15" box will fit all 4 wheels nicely, with padding...

Try it w/20 x 20 x 10 and you'll get $23 (from MS to UT) :)

UPS ground shipping on 4 F1 EMT's which were delivered in two big boxes was a total of $106 for all 4 (MI to VA). I would think rims would be comparable or cheaper.

Oops! I don't know what I was thinking. You are correct. I thought around $100 seemed a little much.

So did Law get all 4 rims for $350 each. According to ebay listing someone else got one and he got 3.

Wow, $350.00 ea., I can do better at the dealer!!!
