Potenza™ RE050
Potenza™ RE050A
Potenza™ S-03 Pole Position

Tires must be purchased between April 7, 2005 and May 7, 2005.

So (4) S03's in 245/45/18 would be: $800 (after rebate)!

Please forgive my ignorance when it comes to tires, but, are these good tires? what are the advantages and disadvantages to these tires and are they runflats?

Thanks

S-03's unquestionable grip and great handlers. Not runflats. Short life span though. Well worth the $800 and actually less than GS-D3's with the rebate.

Can you qualify "short life span"?

220 tread wear very similar to our runflats. Expect no more than 10,000 miles out of these.

Looking at getting GS D3's in about 5,000 miles. Hoping not to experience too much vibration, per the other thread.

220 tread wear very similar to our runflats. Expect no more than 10,000 miles out of these.Treadwear ratings mean doggy dooley when comparing between 2 different tire manufacturers. A 220 by Bridgestone may very well equal a 300 by Goodyear.

And you can get the Potenza RE050A in a runflat in our size. $267 per tire in a W speed rating, $283 per tire in a Y. Give it a try.

Not for me. Brand new GS-D3's already on. I'm good for another 10,000 miles or 3 rear ends, whichever comes first.

Of course they aren't doing the rebate on the Bridgestone Potenza 960AS,
all-season, high performance tires. Damn! OK call me a wimp, but they are a great compromise. I'll do the fast stuff on the track withthe DOT-R tires.
