: Which Shocks?

It's time for new shocks on the 90 Brougham.
Has anyone tried Bilstein shocks on their Brougham/Fleetwood?
How's the ride/handling? Too harsh?

I'm contemplating putting the Bilsteins all around and using Air-Lift 1000 bags in the rear springs to retain the Level-Ride. My Brougham has the FE2 suspension, and I thought this setup might make for a really nice handling Caddy...

I've heard nothing but great things about the Bilsteins, particularly the ones for the pre-'91 9C1 cop car which are a tad less floaty than the version for the newer models.

Your idea of Bilsteins and air bags sounds great, but we're most likely just going to ditch the leveling all together and put load-carrier shocks all around when the time comes (hopefully soon) for the '93.

Sounds like a great idea! I say go for it...

Do the pre 91 Bilsteins allow the rear end to drop far enough to remove the rear tires?

The 92-up shocks allowed for more extension of the shock.
