I am about to do a front brake job on my 2001 DTS and had a question regarding this process. First, does the DTS require the standard or heavy duty rotors and pads? Second, are the rotors "pressed on", which would require a specialized tool to remove? Thanks!

Welcome aboard,
The DTS uses standard parts and the discs will just pop off. No pressing required. There will most likely be a couple copper-colored retainers on the lug bolts that you'll have to break off but that's ok. They're only there for production, no need to worry about replacing them or anything.
