I just had the dealer install a touch screen nav system in my 03 Escalade ESV. The car never had the xm antenna installed. (2004 & up does) Do I need to just install the antenna and plug it into my TS NAV SYS?? If so is there any special type of XM Antenna I need to get this to work??? The TS NAV SYS is out of an 05 escalade. The dealer said the system is XM ready, but was wondering if I need a seperate tuner for this to work. I would like to buy a GM/Escalade factory antenna but cant seem to find anything on the web. Any help is appreciated.

I would assume that XM ready means the headunit is capable of Xm but does not have the tuner, or special gm xm antenna. I have the tuner and antenna that I took off my 03. because my Eclipse touchscreen is Sirius. So I shaved my roof antenna. I also have the complete 8 speaker bose setup with amp and sub. Koolcad, had same situation with my 03, didn't have XM. GM sells a complete kit for XM, cables, receiver, and antenna. I had installed with the TNR radio unit and it works great.

I posted the part# awhile back in the "Touchscreen thread" if you are intrested. Cost a little over $300.00 from Cadillac dealer. Probably get it cheaper on gmdirectparts.com.
