Howdy...

I have a 2000 and am having a issue replacing the break pads on the front. Now, I've done break pads many, many, MANY times. But for some reason I can't figure out how to disconnect what seems to be the sensor wire going into the center of the caliper. It seems there is nothing holding it in, but it looks as if it is going to break if I pull hard.

Any suggestions and advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I just got my pads replaced and ran into he same problem. All you need to do is pulling the pad wear sensors out by using a needle nose pliers with great care, and push them back in the position on the new pads. Should they get broken just secure them a side on the break fluid hose out of the way or spend some $ on the new ones. They are nice to have but as far as I am concern not that necessary to have, but again it's up to you.
