Is there a grounding issue on my year, I saw a post that this will cause, the rough engine problem I have a 1988 Sedan deville 4.5liter.:banghead:

One of my 3 DeVilles is the same as yours...never heard of a "grounding" issue on it and there is no Factory Recall on any grounding issue either.

Be real specific on what symptoms you are seeing and, if there are any codes, post those as well.

With all computer controlled engines it is very important to maintain solid ground to the systems. I haven't had problems with my car yet and thus, have not checked the ground wires and cables and don't know the quantity or locations. I understand there are more than one to the block and/tranny. A loose ground can cause intermittent misses, rough idle/running amongst other various nasties. It's amazing how many frustrating and irritating problems can arise due to a simple loose ground connection.
