I have a question - probably a dumb one - but here goes!

I just bought a 99 Deville and would like for the heat and the ac to blow out of the dash vents. I read the manual (which gave little info) and it appears that I cannot set where I want the hot or cold air to blow from. Is this true? If not, how can I make this happen? I never noticed before I bought the car that there was not a floor/bi-level etc. button on the stupid control panel.

Thanks,

Brandon

Yes, it is true and no, you cannot make it happen. The Sevilles and Eldos have a bi-level setting but not the Devilles for some reason. The A/C programmer sets the air distribution doors for you. Basically heat goes to the floor and A/C (or ambient air cooling) to the vents. You may get a little bi-level action as the tempurature reaches the tempurature setting.

This is the only thing that really chapps my butt on these.
