The 76 Union station on Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu is doing brisk business despite self-serve pumps selling regular unleaded at three dollars, five cents a gallon and supreme unleaded at three dollars, 15 cents. (http://www.kesq.com/global/story.asp?s=3095350&ClientType=Printable)

Thats it, Im officially moving to California.

Life is good here!

Malibu just seems to get the short end of every stick thrown. Poudning waves, hillslides, wildfires and now higher gas prices.

With the way my Escalade sucks down gas I would just invest in good walking sneakers.

You think you have gas issues? Try 8-10 mpg for size, at least HRS gets 20+

I know that all to well. Yesterday coming home from school I got 16.2 MPG over 210 miles averaging about 70MPH, needless to say I was thrilled. I didn't even get below half a tank, usually I kill 3/4 of it.

Letterman: How are things going out there, Johhny?

Carson: It's getting better, Dave. The mudslides put out the wildfires!

Yea but remember, you have more displacement and higher HP, that is better than good gas mileage you got. In my case, its ALL wheels, all that unsprung weight from those 22's is murdering my fuel economy. Ahh the price of bling.

Well, for Supreme gas here it's 102.9 cents / litre (Canada). Which is $3.89 Canadian/gallon. This little guy describes my feelings on this the best. :banghead:

I live in Oil Rich Alberta !!!! Than means I can pay .....anywhere from $0.76 - $0.86 a litre (0.26 Gallons so about $2.92 - $3.30 per USD gallon)

They got ya - whatcha gonna do ? the price really flucurates. It is crazy - but they have a system which works well here

Gas at $0.76/litre - raise it to $0.84
Public outrage
Few weeks go buy
Reduce price to $0.799
Public Happy (forgetting it was at $0.76 before)
Few weeks / months pass increase price to $0.87 cents
Public outcry

I got gas today and wasn't really paying attention to the cost, just put 10 in, went in and paid came back out and when I started my car saw that I didnt even get a quarter of a tank... checked the price and it's $2.50. This is in MI.

I ran mine empty today and had to authorize my credit card twice to fill up!! 60 bucks! I am driving like a grandma getting 14.8mpg which is twice what I normally get. I may abandon my asperations towards the CTS-V for a TDI Volkswagon if July brings 3$ per gallon here. Its 2.06 now. :banghead:

2.05 a gal here for 87. 2.08 for 88 up the road. I miss the lil Volvo's mileage. But I refuse to give up the Fleetwood. Oil crisis, is good time to buy some big gas guzzlers as their prices drop. Then sell them off once gas drops again. :)

That funny, putting $10 in, what were you filling up the lawn mower! LOL

But I refuse to give up the Fleetwood.

Since I have no car payment on my Fleetwood, gas can go much higher for me.

I feel sorry for those who are upside down in debt and stuck with their gas hog. Ok, no I don't. ;)

Gulf officials: China, India boom means oil prices will stay high (http://www.worldtribune.com/worldtribune/05/breaking2453454.94375.html)

"Prices will never [again] go under the $40 per barrel mark," Kuwait Petroleum Corp chief executive officer Hani Hussain told the Abu Dhabi-based Gulf News said. "We know there is huge demand for crude oil. This has pushed prices higher than most of us anticipated."

Time to change some habits.
