: not licking to stop and slight oil leak

I have a 93STS 4.6N runs perfect except for a couple things which I think may be a problem. I've already checked all the codes but found nothing except suspension. When I'm idleing at a red light I notice the rpm slowly go up and down and not very steady. Also when I'm going high speeds and let go of the gas, the rpm goes down really slowly also going up and down slightly while doing it. I notice I use a lot of brakes to slow down, like the car doesn't want to slow down. I replaced the TPS and ISC motor, don't know if only one screw is holding the tps makes a different?

Also the oil pan is leaking slowly, is that common with this motor because it seems really expensive to replace oil pan gasket then normal.

Well if only one screw is holding the TPS and it is moving, then I suppose that could be causing your problem. Why only one screw? If one is missing, replace it. That would eliminate that part of the equation. Otherwise I would start looking for a vacuum leak.
