Mind you this is not a perfect car it has some blemishes for sure. Dent on front valiance and scratch on right rear door and curb rash all from previous owner.

But I thought I'd share. I still think my daily driver looks good.

Washed old wax off
Clay barred car
Washed with meguiars soap
Fully dried car with my waffle to well
Hand polished with meguiars ultimate polish
Hand waxed with wet liquid syn meguiars

What do you think fellas??

Looks great, Im a huge fan of Adams Polishes and they seem to work great on my black V, need to invest in a good polisher to get a few swirls out but when its shined up black is the best...Just hard to keep it clean every day

I want one but I've heard its easy to ruin clear cost by improper use of them

Actually, since it is a random orbital polisher, you would have to work pretty hard to ruin clear/paint. It is the rotary polishers that can burn the clear/paint if you don't be careful.

Good article explaining the difference:

Oh I had no idea thanks so much. I'm adding to my list haha of wants. With some zaino I think. I have a few months before I will be doing this again. Probably in the spring. How often is too often to do this kind of deep clean and polish ?

I usually wash every two weeks, clay bar and waxing every month, and then everything with polishing 3 times a year.

Not sure what everyone else does, but it works for me.

Oh great a polisher for sale at a good price when I dont have the spare cash...haha.... I wash atleast once a week depending on what the weather has been like or what shows I hit up, a good wax every few months but once I get a good paint correction and apply my spendy wax I should just have to do touch ups once or twice a year. Going to try and get everything good to go before the winter hits here, I have way too much money spent on detail products now but my car is for the most part always spotless and for being a black 04 I get lots of compliments for how new it looks

I don't polish unless I absolutely have to. A good wax fills in and hides any very minor swirls...
