With warm weather peaking around the corner finally, it's about time I get to fix up everything in my trunk and get a little more space. Also the 12" shivas are finally getting replaced.

The amp I'm using now is a JBL BP600.1 power series, served me very well and continues to do so. I found 2 different pairs of Audiobahn subs on ebay, one $80 shipped, the other $150 shipped.

AW1251T http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=5757971399&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT
400w RMS
2" dual 4ohm coils
45oz. magnet
24Hz-1kHz frequency response
92.1dB sensitivity

AW1200Q http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=5757971398&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT
700w RMS
2.5" dual 4ohm coils
120oz. magnet
20-500Hz frequency response
92.7dB sensitivity

They both interest me, but I don't know if the extra 70 bucks will be worth it, especially since my amp is only 600 watts at the moment. I may consider another amp if I can find a ton of power for not a ton of money, but I don't see that happening. So is that 70 bucks worth it for the AW1200Q pair?

Thanks,
Chuck

Many people refer to Audiobahn as Audiobomb. They just aint worf a shit. They may sound good to you...but have low reliablity. You can get something better than audiobahn. check out the forums on www.caraudio.com (http://www.caraudio.com) and do a search on Audiobahn. Sign up and ask questions!

I had been into car audio in a big way about 12-15 years ago and recently when I began pondering a new system for my STS, I found this "Audiobahn" stuff for sale EVERYWHERE! I have heard everything about Audiobahn from really bad, like the 1st reply to this thread, to that the stuff is "avarage", that was the best, "average"! I think any of the name brands are good for head units or amps, unless you're looking to build some $1500,2000, 3000+ super system! In fact, all of this gear is actually a lot more affordable than it was ten years ago! I had a HiFonics amp I bought 10+ years ago, it still works great. HiFonics used to be fairly expensive and very hard to find, now it's pretty reasonable and easier to find. Audiobahn does look like you are paying a lot for the "cool" flames an the amp case, or the unnecessarily big magnets on the 6x9's, so I'd also say to skip it!
