Hey guys, glad to be back as a Cadillac owner! Just picked this up sat. Paid 10k with 114k miles... don't know the trim level... but its pretty well equipped. I want to say luxlll? Even new goodyears assurance! The pics are from the dealer... let me know what you guys think? One question I don't think my cooled seats don't work?

The chrome wheel style would indicate it's a Performance model. With its magnetic ride control (MRC) you have the perfect suspension for driving through the Rockies. Enjoy......

I agree with TulsaVic...
Looks like the Performance Sedan...
Look at your VIN number.... if the "8th" digit is a 9... it's the Performance Sedan.

I have a White Lightning, 2006 Performance Sedan... I love it... Great automobile... :)

Nice DTS! Living in CO, I have 2 suggestions for ya. #1. Get a clear bra to protect the beautiful paint from our rocky, sand coated winter roads. #2. Put a couple of good coatings of Zaino products over it. I have a 2010 DTS with a Whits Diamong paint and drive daily in CO and FL. These items were suggested to me by a friend at Don Massey in Lone Tree and they were valuable suggestions. Congrads on the new Caddie....its gorgeous! I will be looking for it on our Denver roads. Mine has state park style plates bearing "FLORADO". Honk if you see me!

Congrats on newly acquired DTS.

It looks like a Performance model. You did not mention the model year for this beauty. Is the navigation system is the original equipment or is after-market?

Thanks guys! I did confirm its the performance model.... factory nav. 2006 model year.... thanks again. I bought my first Cadillac about 5 years ago, a 2000 catera sport nice but never ran. Second one was a 2000 deville dhs oh man I loved this beauty! Even with the small amount of issues it had typical for that model year. It got totalled, really sad moment in my life.... so for a little over a year I've been driving a 04 Silverado nice but no CADILLAC! Had to trade. FLORADO, I will be on the look out. I'll get my Colorado Rockies plates transferred and put on my DTS! Be sure to honk too. By the way this has been a Colorado car all its life, so it does have a clear bra, even the side rear view mirrors have it. Just need to find out what is wrong with these seats no cool or hot seats after pressing the buttons!? Thanks again guys.

Hello crazcaddyguy,

We are happy to have you back as a Cadillac owner! Your DTS looks very nice. I see the community has already engaged with you and offered some great advice. I understand how your temperature settings with your seats can be frustrating. Have you thought about discussing this with your dealership yet? I can be contacted via private message if you would like to further discuss any concerns or questions!

Regards,

As for the seats, I am curious about them as well. I have found the drivers seat to work okay, the passenger not well. I can hear the fan operating so I know thats not the problem. I also know that the temp needs to be set on a very cold number to actually feel anything. It appears there are others suffering the same problem, specifically with the STS models. My STS bearly worked at all, and the seats on my DTS are far better in evdry way. Maybe Superjim or moist cabbage have advise?

If your cooled seats are working well you should be getting the feeling that you've wet your pants:halo:. Anything less and they're not up to the correct level of performance.

Yea, I know they're not working just need to find out where that module is located? I know it's under the pass. Seat just don't know which one it is.... now I noticed today that my pass. Side park lights don't work...... oh man noticed it today after taking it to get a smog inspection... anyone has had issues with that? Ill check it out tomorrow.... maybe fuse???

Nice color! I too just bought a 2006 white DTS with just over 83k miles. I hope to get many trouble free miles in the future! :) I will post my pics soon, as I just bought it two days ago!
