I'm very new, jus signed up. I need help quick!! I'm removing a starter from a 1993 Caddillac Brougham. Got the part, got under neath, there was a cross bar witch had to be removed so i can get the starter to fall out. Go all objects out of way, CAN'T GET THE STARTER TO FALL OUT. answer me this, does the starter hav to come out threw the top on this yr. model, or am i jus having a hard time or is there something else needs done for it too come out!!!! HELP

I'm not a FWB guy, but I'm sure someone here can give you a hand on this.

i haven't replaced my started on my fleet yet but I have a question did you remove the screws/bolts holding the starter in place?

usually 4 bolts and the positive and negative connections.

after removing these bolts give it a tap with a hammer either slightly in or on the side to dislodge it.
