that he was able to put Shortie hedders on his motor. Do you guys think that those same hedders will work for a 307 or 305 motor? I know most SBC motors use the same parts but I am very curious to know if they will work

I posted a few weeks ago about getting a 500 cid from someone but later found out after driving the car it had problems with the bottem end of the motor so it wasnt gonna be a free luck swap. I chosen to stick with my 307 until I can get a good deal on a better motor. But for now I am stuck with my 307 in my Caddy and 305 in my 83 Caprice and pray that I can get a donor car with a atleast the 350 SBC running.


Also anyone know or have a port box built in the box caddy? 19xx to 1989 trunk? I banging my head on building a port box and cant seem to come up with a design

The hedders I got can work on 305/350 Chevy blocks only. I'm not so sure about 307 which is supposed to be Olds motor. I have no idea how those manifolds look like and whether exhaust ports and bolt holes are even in the same location as Chevy manifolds.

Externally the 305 is identical to a 350 Chevy. The 307 Olds is a completely different motor, it will not accept SBC headers. Might wanna check and see if Cutlass headers would work, dont know if you can get them in shorties though.
