Anyone ever had or seen a trailer hitch on an '94 thru 99 Eldorado? (please-- don't beat me up too badly!)

Is it possible? Is it a REALLY bad idea? Can I make it look reasonably good?

Trailor total wt is about 1000 to 1500 lb, tongue is about 100 to 150 lb.

Thanks!-- Rick

Never seen one, but the 98 Eldo owners manual relates information on towing with the vehicle. (p. 4-32 to p. 4-38) Shop manual relates nothing on the subject. Your decision on what hitch company to patronize should reveal any restrictions. What hitch package would apply to a jet airplane?....just rhetorical.
Seriously, the owner's manual relates that 1000lbs. on and Eldo or 3,760 lbs on the ETC is ok (p. 4-33)

Bbob towed snowmobiles with one all the time...search through and find the posts...it'll be fine, if you can find a hitch that you can make fit.

Drawtite has a nice hitch for the caddies, pretty easy to install. I did have to have the exhaust slightly rerouted however.

I've put the Drawtite on several Eldorados in the past. They work fine. Use the search feature in the forum tool bar and search for "trailer" or "trailer towing" or "hitch".....most of the info is pretty generic in regard to the Northstar pacakages. They make great tow cars if you use common sense.
