Anybody have any tips to restore faded black on wiper arms? Is pulling them off and spray painting a bad idea?

Its probably the only method that would work well.
I wonder if you could take them off and clean them up and plasti-dip them with the gloss version?

Back to black will work as a temporary solution.

I have contemplated taking mine off, having them sand blasted and then powder coated gloss black. I'm not sure what the current finish is, but powder coating is generally pretty rugged and lasts well. Personally, I'm not sold on spray painting them.

Spray paint works fine, just be sure to scuff them fist in order to avoid them nasty fish eyes! Much cheaper way to go than p/c.
Plasti-dip is way over rated. That stuff is temporary and imo is good for a test run in order to decide if you like what ever part your coating in black...
P/C is great but not sure that's needed for this application concidering the wipers need only be protected from the elements. The hood keeps them generaly safe from road debris.
