http://www.mygmlink.com/pdf/go2content/manual/US/en/cadillac/ Vesicant 12-30-03, 11:38 AM Ok people, for all those who wanted more Catera parts; these are for Opels/Vauxhall Omegas... and you must search for the parts. Use only "Omega B" in your search for parts, for this is the only car it will work on thats as simmular as our Catera is. (Learned from Stienmetz email) :cookoo:
I also have a friend in belgium who has family that works at an Opel factory in Antwerp. I believe strongly that this could be a hook up for new things that come out, etc...

Is it too late for a refund??
No linking to other forums, message boards or communities that are primarily Cadillac-related. We've worked hard to generate more traffic than any other Cadillac website on the net. If you want to persuade our hard-earned members to visit your site, contact us for a link exchange.
Messages promoting a commercial entity that is not a supporting vendor of cadillacforums.com may be deleted at any time at the discretion of cadillacforums.com moderators and administrators. These rules, clearly stated in our User Agreement, are meant to ensure that there is a mutual benefit to any relationships we have with other Cadillac-related sites. Isn't that reasonable? darrelld 12-31-03, 06:09 PM Huh?? the Sandman 12-31-03, 06:30 PM Is there a filter we can run the sites through to see if they're acceptable?
Sure - just run it through our dedicated supercomputer...the SAL 9000... :D
There is no "filter" per se, nor is there a list that I'm aware of - all of the sites that have link exchange agreements with us have links posted somewhere or other on the Board. If you want to post a link but are not sure of the "acceptability", you should PM Sal or me and ask, or you can go ahead and post the link without asking - but it may be removed. DaveSmed 12-31-03, 06:36 PM The rules:
No profanity in subject lines or signatures.
No discussion of religion, politics or sexual preference.
No spamming or commercial solicitation of any kind by members unless specifically given the right by administrators. Any such messages can be removed at the discretion of either a forum moderator or administrator. Selling of individual items is permissible by a private owner in our Classifieds forums, however selling multiple items of the same product is considered a commercial post and may be removed at the discretion of moderators and/or staff.
Commercial solicitations may be posted in the forum they most apply to as long as the company conducting the group buy is a supporting vendor at cadillacforums.com.
Messages promoting a commercial entity that is not a supporting vendor of cadillacforums.com may be deleted at any time at the discretion of cadillacforums.com moderators and administrators.
No flaming of other members to incite or perpetuate a conflict or argument.
Personal attacks or name-calling can get you banned.
No bombing forums or threads with pointless posts.
No linking or posting of pornographic or objectionable material.
No linking to other forums, message boards or communities that are primarily Cadillac-related. We've worked hard to generate more traffic than any other Cadillac website on the net. If you want to persuade our hard-earned members to visit your site, contact us for a link exchange.
Do not impersonate other individuals or falsely represent yourself.
Do not discuss, suggest, engage, or encourage any illegal activity on the forums. Linking to locations that deal with any such activity are also forbidden.
Posting under secondary usernames or alias user names other than your main account for the purpose of arguing, degrading or belittling other readers is grounds for having your posting privileges revoked.
You must have a valid e-mail account in your profile so you can be reached by a forum moderator or administrator.
See, theres a list (kinda). darrelld 12-31-03, 07:33 PM Whats that all about?? the Sandman 12-31-03, 08:22 PM There is a fundamental difference between the CadillacForums and the "CTS friendly" site you refer to - CadillacForums is a large, growing Community with a diverse membership. The other Board is quite small, with a handful of relatively like-minded CTS enthusiasts. Because our Forums are so busy, and our members so markedly distinct in quality and character, there's just no telling what someone will Post. We encourage that...which is not to say that everyone will always agree with everyone else. Our goal is to let Cadillac enthusiasts everywhere express themselves. Yes, we have some rules here, but we think they're reasonable.
1. See lots of CTS bashing by membersEveryone has an opinion - there are those who don't like the CTS but I wouldn't say that "CTS bashing" is prevalent on this Board. And there are more than a few CTS fans.
2. Questioned about my Z28 picture posting (notice lots of import lovers pics)Again, many members, many opinions - but with very few exceptions (porn for example) there is no restriction on placing images on the Board. And I really can't imagine too many people taking issue with a Z28 picture.
3. Numerous domestic auto bashing posts in general. So many members, so many opinions - sure it sucks when people disrespect something you like. Would you really rather that everyone here saw everything the way you do? Wouldn't that get boring? This place exists to allow for the exchange of ideas, exchange of views. Don't let it get personal...
4. Got absolutely no response from a suggestion made to add an LY7 motor section (other than why would I want to do this)I make lots of suggestions that get no response. We are constantly trying to improve the Board, but it is a slow process - adding Forums must be weighed against making the site too cumbersome. All suggestions are considered, though, and who knows what the future will bring (maybe even a dedicated transmission Forum).
5. Questioned about the pic embedded in my signature (I have since completed deleted this)Lots of people have things to say about all kind of things - there are very few restrictions on signatures (so far at least). Why did you delete it?
6. And the last thing is having my link to another site that does have CTS friendly posts and suggestions expunged. These Boards are not "public property", they are privately owned venues and there will always be policy decisions made by the owners of these sites - that's just the way it is - a microcosm of life. Sal's policies are designed to promote the longterm growth and vitality of the CadillacForums - something the members of the Community should support. DaveSmed 12-31-03, 08:44 PM Regarding the motor, there has been talk of reorganizing the technical sections even further. darrelld 12-31-03, 10:36 PM There is a fundamental difference between the CadillacForums and the "CTS friendly" site you refer to - CadillacForums is a large, growing Community with a diverse membership. I would still like a refund on my membership.
Nothing personal. the Sandman 12-31-03, 10:44 PM I would still like a refund on my membership.
Nothing personal.Talk to the hand... :D
BTW that would mean the "last edited by" notice would reappear on the Posts you edit... :yup: darrelld 12-31-03, 10:54 PM Talk to the hand... :D

No problem and it won't matter once my profile is deleted.
Club CTS has been up and down constantly over the past few years. No, we don't have a link agreement with them. I'm preparing your refund now... davesdeville 12-31-03, 11:27 PM These rules, clearly stated in our User Agreement, are meant to ensure that there is a mutual benefit to any relationships we have with other Cadillac-related sites. Preventing us from posting links doesn't do anyone any good. If someone wants an answer and I have a link to where they can get an answer, but I'm not allowed to post it, it frustrates me and the person who wants the answer, and it loses you traffic, 'cause if the person can't get an answer they won't be coming back. It's a selfish and greedy rule. DaveSmed 12-31-03, 11:33 PM Why not just post the answer? davesdeville 12-31-03, 11:49 PM Well I was more thinking about a link to another forum where there's a much better chance to get an answer. BeelzeBob 01-01-04, 12:33 PM Thread closed by Sal Collaziano. Links to other informative Cadillac sites will be posted on the main site. | |
